Application Notes
Our database of GPC/SEC application notes explain the use of concentration, viscometer and light scattering detectors to obtain a distribution of absolute molecular weight, size and intrinsic viscosity, as well as information on conformation, aggregation, branching and copolymer composition.
Training
Training
TrainingViscotek firmly believes in the importance and value of training for both internal and external personnel. Every instrument order comes standard with a two-day, on-site installation and training session. We feel that on-site training in necessary because you want and need to know how your system responds in your lab, with your personnel and your samples. Not how the instrument responds in a sterile, vendor-controlled environment that doesn’t reflect your true operating conditions.

During the on-site installation and training a certified member of Viscotek’s Technical Service and Support group will visit your laboratory, install your system and perform an instrument verification with a set of appropriate standards. If requested, your instrument may also be validated at this time.

Once the verification is completed, the Viscotek Technical Service Representative will assist you in running your sample under the appropriate conditions, carefully guiding you through hardware and software operation, data collection and perhaps most importantly, data interpretation. Or goal is to leave you with a good, working knowledge of the software and system so that your characterization requirements can be met.

For those customers who want to expand their knowledge of GPC, DSV and DLS in general and Viscotek in particular, we also offer our three-day GPC, DSV and DSL Schools at our corporate office in Houston, Texas. Designed for users already conversant with our technology, the schools are a means to increase your understanding of basic theory and become familiar with the advanced features and capabilities of our software.
Complete Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) / Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) systems for the characterization of natural and synthetic polymers, proteins, conjugates and excipients. Integrated Triple and Tetra Detector Arrays (TDAs) featuring Low Angle Light Scattering (LALS) detectors, four capillary differential viscometer detectors, refractometers and UV/VIS detectors; in a single experiment, obtain absolute molecular weight, molecular size, intrinsic viscosity, conformation, branching, aggregation and copolymer composition. Flow Injection Polymer Analysis (FIPA) for fast, accurate and precise average molecular weight, size and intrinsic viscosity in routine QA/QC and process control. Automated Dilute Solution Viscosity (DSV) systems provide relative, inherent, and intrinsic viscosity.
